About the Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Austin
The course runs through Lake Pflugerville Park, looping around the lake on what sounds like a mostly flat path through Texas parkland. It reads as a holiday-themed event, so expect costumes in the crowd, a DJ spinning seasonal music, and a fairly spirited atmosphere at the finish area. Cookies and milk are waiting when you get there.
The finish area has a rally tent with snacks and refreshments, and awards are announced live on-site. A costume contest runs alongside the race, with prizes for the most creative holiday attire. The DJ announces runners as they finish, so the finish line stays active well after the leaders come through.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Austin has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
