About the Gem of the Highlands 5K
The Gem of the Highlands 5K runs through Norwood and raises money for local parks, including a dog park and basketball courts that earlier editions helped fund. It is put on entirely by volunteers, which shows in how the race is organized around the neighborhood rather than around the clock.
