About the Geist Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & 1 Mile
The course wraps around Geist Reservoir, so there is water in view for much of the run. Expect tree-covered trails and bridges over the waterfront, which breaks up the pavement and gives the route some texture. Several distance options share parts of the same scenic corridor, and the finish line festival is set up at a large shopping center at a main intersection in Fishers.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at Grace Church on Olio Road, with a race-morning will-call option available for those who arrange it in advance. The start and finish areas do not have parking, but free lots at nearby schools and Grace Church cover most runners. After the race, a pancake breakfast with eggs, sausage wraps, juice, and water is available for participants and spectators for a small fee.
