About the 10th Annual Geisinger Marworth Recovery Fun Run 5K and 1 Mile Walk
The course runs along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, starting from the Olive Street trailhead. The trail surface is paved and follows the river, so the route is flat and straightforward. The race is tied to National Recovery Month and benefits a therapeutic activities fund at a local treatment center, which gives the morning a purposeful feel without being somber.
Day-of registration is available on race morning, closing out before the start. There is a prize raffle drawn after the run wraps up.
