About the GBP Winter Trail Series
The GBP Winter Trail Series runs through the Galisteo Basin Preserve outside Lamy, a stretch of high desert with an extensive trail network that stays runnable even in the colder months. The terrain is the draw here: open land, wide skies, and trails that feel genuinely remote without being punishing.
Entry fees go directly to Commonweal Conservancy, the organization that protects and manages the preserve. So the race itself is the donation. A virtual option exists for those who want to log the distance on their own, away from the course, and still count it toward the series.
