About the Galax Autumn Days 5K Run

The course runs out of Felts' Park along Chestnut Creek, flat the whole way on road. A short stretch passes through New River State Park, which breaks up what might otherwise feel like a pure road race. The start and finish are in the same park, so spectators can plant themselves and see runners both ways.

Registration opens race morning in the gymnasium at Felts' Park, which also gives you a warm place to wait before the start. The park is on South Main Street, easy to find from the highway.
