About the G.O.L.O.W. Turkey Trot
This Thanksgiving morning race supports the Live Oak Wrestling program, from youth squads up through high school. The distance is a short road run, and the crowd leans local, with plenty of people in school colors. It has the feel of a neighborhood tradition built around a specific cause rather than a racing calendar.
The event encourages showing up in purple and gold, so the start line has a bit of a pep rally energy. There are free refreshments at the finish, and the whole morning wraps up in time to get back to the kitchen. Packet and registration details are worth confirming directly with the organizers ahead of time.
