About the Fur Fest 5k 2026
The course runs through J. Lewis Hall park, mixing paved trail with dirt trail in roughly equal measure, and tree cover keeps most of it shady. The route is flat throughout. Dogs on standard leashes are welcome to race alongside their people, and there are separate awards for the fastest male and female canine finishers.
The race benefits Tallahassee Big Dog Rescue, so expect a crowd that skews toward dog lovers. Start and finish are both at the park, which keeps things straightforward for anyone driving in with a dog in tow.
