About the Frosty 5 Mile

The Frosty 5 Mile starts outside a school in Channahon and runs through what the name promises: a cold winter morning. The race draws runners of all ages willing to show up in the chill, and awards go to top finishers overall and by age group, with a separate category for local residents.

There are pretzels at the finish and an awards ceremony after, so there is reason to stick around. Registration closes a few days before race day, with day-of signup offered if space allows.
