About the Fright Care 5K Monster Dash
The course loops a track on the Evansdale campus, tucked behind an allied health building near the student recreation center. It is a fundraiser for a university speech, language, and hearing clinic, so the crowd skews toward families and clinic supporters. Costumes are part of the deal, and there are separate waves for runners, walkers, and kids.
Bib pickup happens the morning of the race before the first wave goes off, so there is no need to come out the day before. After the run, pumpkin painting, face painting, and a costume contest fill out the rest of the morning. The whole event stretches into early afternoon.
