About the Fraidycat 5k,8k & Meow Mile
The course runs mostly on a bike path, so the surface is smooth and the route feels open. Costumes are encouraged, and the timing puts plenty of creative outfits in the starting area. Runners share space with occasional vehicle traffic throughout, so staying alert matters. Strollers are welcome.
Packet pickup runs at the local Chamber office across several days before the race, with a morning-of option at the school where everything starts. Parking at the school is limited, and the organizers push carpooling hard. A nearby Park District lot off Plainfield Road gives you an overflow option if the school lot fills.
