About the Four Corners Quad Keyah

The Four Corners Monument is the centerpiece here, and the courses are built around it. Each day's race begins and ends in a different state, so over the series you cover all four. The terrain mixes trail and dirt road, with a paved option available each day. You are out in open high-desert country on Navajo Nation land, remote and wide open.

Packet pickup happens at the entrance booth each morning, and the gate opens well before the start. There is a bag drop at the Monument Aid Station, and you can also get back to your vehicle during the day. Aid stations carry fluids, fruit, and sweet and salty snacks. Post-race food is provided each day.

Common Questions About the Four Corners Quad Keyah

Will I finish last at the Four Corners Quad Keyah?

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 3:42:25, and the last recorded finisher came in around 7:16:46, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Four Corners Quad Keyah a good first 13.1 Miles?

It is a small race (77 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 13.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Four Corners Quad Keyah?

The 13.1 Miles winner ran 1:52:07 while the median finisher took 3:42:25. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
