The race starts and finishes at Woodshed Smokehouse, a riverside barbecue spot in Fort Worth. The course is flat, which suits both the main run and the Beer Mile, where runners alternate laps with cans of beer. The Beer Mile draws its own crowd and runs separately from the straight footrace.
Woodshed Smokehouse is the post-race gathering spot, so there is already food and drink on site when you finish. Parking along the river can get tight on race morning, so arriving early helps.
