About the Fools
The race is held at Camp Manatoc, a trail venue with a mix of wide-open path and tight single track. The course is almost entirely off-road, with a road crossing here and there, and the hills are real. Several distance options share the same loop course, so you can treat the day as a training run, dialing in your fueling and pacing strategy without any pressure to race hard.
A fully stocked aid station is on course, and there is designated space near the loop where you can set up your own personal supply area to manage whatever you need between laps. That setup makes it a practical choice for anyone testing gear or nutrition before a longer race later in the season.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Fools has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
