About the Flusslauf

The course runs through Bedford Reservation, a wooded park with roots and trees underfoot. The trail crosses a river twice, knee-deep, and getting wet is part of the deal. It is an evening event, so you are finishing as the light fades through the trees. Hikers, ruckers, and runners all go out on the same route, at staggered starts.

The start and finish are at Hemlock Creek Picnic Area. If the main lot is full, an overflow lot on Dunham Road is a short walk away, and parking attendants are on hand to direct you. A biergarten opens at the finish, with live German band music and bratwurst available afterward.
