About the Florida Five
The Florida Five spreads across a handful of parks over the course of a week, each day at a different location. Courses run on paved urban trail, mostly flat with patches of shade, using an out-and-back loop repeated until you hit your distance. You will pass the same runners going the other direction throughout, which tends to feel more social than a point-to-point course.
The organizers are upfront that this is a stripped-down event: hand-timed, no certified course, no age group awards, no post-race spread. Bring your own bottle, since cups are not provided. Parking is available at each park. Rubber bands are on hand to help you count your laps.
