About the Flight to the Finish
The course runs flat and fast through the Zion Park District, starting at the park district facility on Dowie Memorial Drive. It is part of a larger festival day built around zinnias, monarch butterflies, and bees, so the atmosphere at the start and finish reflects that, with activity beyond the race itself.
The post-race scene includes awards for age groups and top finishers, plus a bubble bash celebration. A kids dash for those under ten follows the main race, giving families a reason to stick around after the run is done.
