About the Fleet Feet Jolly Jog
This one runs ahead of the Decatur Christmas Parade, following most of the parade route before looping back down Water Street to Decatur Brew Works. The streets are closed and lined with crowds already out for the parade, so it feels more like a moving block party than a race. It is untimed, and a shorter walk option covers part of the same route.
Everyone gets a full Santa suit, picked up at Fleet Feet in the days before the event or at Decatur Brew Works shortly before the start. The group gathers at Decatur Brew Works first, then walks over together to where runners line up on Franklin Street. Participants are encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift or donation for a local care program.
