About the 7th Annual Flag Run 5k

The Flag Run 5k is a patriotic race through Boerne, and the name is literal: runners are encouraged to carry full-size American flags, with a separate awards category for those who do. The course goes through town, and the whole morning has the feel of a neighborhood tradition that grew into an organized race, which is essentially the origin story.

The post-race celebration lands on the Plaza, with food, drinks, and music. Proceeds benefit the Boerne Fire Department, including scholarship money for people pursuing careers in the fire service.
