About the Fishers YMCA 2026 Wishbone 5K

This is a Thanksgiving morning race that starts and finishes at the Fishers YMCA. The course is open to leashed dogs and strollers, with those participants asked to line up toward the back. It raises money for the Y's financial assistance fund, so the entry fee goes somewhere concrete. Age-group awards cover a wide spread of divisions.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the YMCA, with a short window on race morning as well. The in-person and virtual options share the same registration structure, so if the event shifts to fully virtual, in-person registrants move over automatically.

Common Questions About the Fishers YMCA 2026 Wishbone 5K

Will I finish last at the Fishers YMCA 2026 Wishbone 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 38:45, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:08:08, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Fishers YMCA 2026 Wishbone 5K a good first 3.1 Miles?

With 1,444 finishers there are runners at every pace, so you are never out on your own. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Fishers YMCA 2026 Wishbone 5K?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 15:23 while the median finisher took 38:45. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
