About the First Day 5k

The course runs through Cane Bay Plantation on paved multi-use trails, starting and finishing at an elementary school parking lot. You head out briefly on a main road, with deputies posted at the intersections, then duck through a couple of tunnels on the trail system before looping back. The route is flat throughout.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at Fleet Feet Carnes Crossroads, with a second window on race morning at the school. Coffee and hot cocoa are available at the finish, along with a treat.
