This is a New Year's Day race that starts and finishes at the Sandwich Recreation Department at Oak Crest Cove on Meetinghouse Lane. The course is a classic road 5K, and the morning tends to draw people looking to kick off the year on foot rather than on the couch. Proceeds go toward a local scholarship fund that helps families access recreation programs.
