About the Feed My Starving Children
The course starts in the church parking lot and winds through residential neighborhoods before looping back. It is a road race through a quiet suburb, mostly flat, the kind of morning where you are as likely to see families out for a walk as anyone chasing a time. The race raises money to fund a local food-packing event that ships meals overseas.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the church, on the sidewalk near the main entrance. On race morning, parking is in the larger lot along the side street, leaving the smaller lot near the building clear. Afterward, there is music, refreshments, and a raffle drawing, so most people stick around for a bit.
