About the FDR Memorial Candlelight Tour 5K
This one runs at night, which is the whole point. The route goes through Warm Springs after dark, lit by candles along the way, and the pace of the evening feels more like a torch-lit stroll through a historic small town than a typical morning race. The surroundings are quiet, the streets old, and the atmosphere is genuinely unlike most courses in the region.
Packet pickup is inside the Chamber of Commerce building on Broad Street before the race starts, and the post-race spread is generous, with food, fruit, and drinks set out for finishers. There is also a door prize drawing after the race wraps up.
