About the FCEF Run for the Schools 5K and 1Mile

The course runs through tree-lined streets in Falls Church, certified for the longer distance. It is not flat throughout: there are real hills mixed in with flatter stretches, so expect some work. The race benefits local public schools and the education foundation that supports them, which gives the morning a clear sense of purpose.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at a high school, again the following morning at a local festival, and once more at the start on race day. The start area is Cherry Hill Park.
