About the Fayette Cares High Cotton 5k/1k Run/Walk

The course passes through a historic cemetery, which gives it an unusual character for a small-town race. It is not a closed course, so you share the road with some traffic and need to stay aware of your surroundings. The finish connects to a county cotton festival with live music, a car show, food, and inflatables running alongside the post-race awards.

Packet pickup is available on race morning, so arriving early is worth it. Dogs are welcome on the course with advance registration, provided they are leashed and well-behaved.
