About the Farmers 5000
The course starts in front of Wheat Ridge High School and threads through the surrounding residential neighborhoods before returning to the school. The route is road the whole way, and the neighborhood setting keeps it quiet and shaded in stretches. It raises money for school programs, so the crowd skews toward families connected to the school.
