About the Falla Walla Half Marathon, 10K & Heroes 5K Run
The course begins at a community college and heads out toward Bennington Lake, moving from paved nature paths onto gravel service roads. The terrain rolls the whole way, with a real climb on the way out and a faster return stretch through open grasslands and wooded areas. Views of the Blue Mountains open up along the route. This is not a flat course.
The Heroes 5K follows a paved creek pathway and allows strollers, making it the more accessible of the events. Post-race, there is a beer garden, hot drinks, and a seasonal treat at the finish. The two events run together, so the finish area has some energy to it even after the longer distances come in.
