About the Fall Fun 5K and Trick or Treat Trot!
The course follows the trails along Big Walnut Creek, so fall color does the decorating. The race is on Halloween, and costumes are encouraged, meaning the start area outside Creekside Plaza Fountain tends to look more like a parade than a typical morning 5K. Kids race first on a shorter loop around the fountain and park, with candy stations in place of water stops.
Post-race, the plaza stays busy with music and an awards ceremony. Prizes go to the top overall finishers and to the best costumes. The race is put on by Three Creeks Church, and proceeds benefit Design Outreach and other nonprofit partners. The start and finish are at Creekside Plaza Fountain in Gahanna.
