The course winds through a campground property set among rolling hills, so there is real elevation change throughout. You get climbing, then descent, then more climbing. The surroundings are wooded and open in turns, and if the timing is right the fall foliage makes the whole thing worth the effort on its own. It is a hilly morning, not a flat one.
