About the Faith & Blue 5K

The Faith and Blue 5K is put on by the local police department as part of a national weekend connecting law enforcement with faith communities. The course is a fun run open to all paces, and there are no age group or overall awards. Entry is free.

Donuts from a local shop, Amazin' Glazin', are waiting at the finish. Packet pickup and sign-in happen at the start of the evening, shortly before the run gets going.

Common Questions About the Faith & Blue 5K

Will I finish last at the Faith & Blue 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 43:23, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:08:21, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Faith & Blue 5K a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 313 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Faith & Blue 5K?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 19:02 while the median finisher took 43:23. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
