About the Fair on the Square Half Marathon & 5K
The course runs through Danville's courthouse square, which has the look of a classic small-town center, the kind of square that gets used as a film set. The half marathon heads out into the surrounding countryside on what the organizers describe as scenic rural roads, while the shorter option stays closer to the square. Both distances return to the same finish area.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a spot just past the library, which is also where you start and finish. A race morning option is available as well. After you finish, the fall festival is already going around you, with food and craft vendors set up on the square, plus beer and frozen treats at the finish.
