About the Evan Kratochwill Memorial 2 Mile Run/Walk

The course is a cross country route on the grounds of a middle school, run in honor of a former student and cross country team member from that school and the local high school. It is part of a larger invitational hosted by the high school's cross country program, so the grounds are busy with student athletes racing throughout the morning. The terrain is trail, and the route is marked.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the school, near the gym wing. Race-morning pickup opens early and closes before the start. The school lots handle parking, though the rear lot is kept for athletes, volunteers, and buses. An awards ceremony follows the community race shortly after runners finish.
