About the Etowah River Park Summer Classic - 5k/10k

The course runs through Etowah River Park and is built for fast times, with flat pavement underfoot and certified routes for both distances. There is a team competition built into the longer distance, where run clubs send their fastest members to compete for a cash prize purse, which is unusual for a local race of this size.

Packet pickup happens on two evenings before race day, one at the park amphitheater and one at Fleet Feet Canton, with race-morning pickup available near the start area as well. A DJ keeps things moving at the start, photographers work the course, and there are refreshments once you finish.
