About the Epicpalooza
The course runs through the hills outside Moorpark on private land not open to the public otherwise, so the terrain itself is part of the draw. Expect trail running with enough challenge to keep things honest, though the surrounding scenery does some of the work. A kids' race runs alongside the main event, so families tend to stick around.
After you finish, there is music, food, and vendors set up at the festival area. The post-race atmosphere is built for lingering, not packing up and heading home.
