About the Englewood Beach Manatee Mosey
The course runs along Englewood Beach, so you get Gulf views for most of the morning. The terrain is flat beach road and path, and the surroundings do most of the work. The race is named for manatees, and the timing lines up with their seasonal migration toward warmer coastal waters, which gives the whole thing a reason to exist beyond the run itself.
Packet pickup happens race morning at Chadwick Park before the start, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. The organizers ask people to arrive early to leave time for parking and pre-race announcements. Post-race refreshments are available at the finish.
