About the Emma Creek Classic 5K/1M
The Emma Creek Classic runs on a certified road course in Hesston that is flat enough to be genuinely fast. The route is open to strollers, and the shorter distance is meant for people who want to be part of the morning without racing. Timing chips are used for the longer distance, and age group awards go several places deep.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at the Hesston Aquatic Center, with race-morning pickup and same-day registration also on offer. Parking is at the stadium nearby. There is brunch at the finish, and an awards ceremony follows shortly after the last finishers come in.
