About the Emancipation Day 5K
The Emancipation Day 5K runs through Laurel and benefits a diabetes care center that serves patients across the Baltimore area. The course is open to runners and walkers, and results go up online as soon as the race wraps, with awards handed out on-site for overall and age group placers.
Packets are available at the start area on race morning, and parking is at the same spot, so there is no separate errand to run before you line up.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
