About the Elks Halloween 5K and Kids Monster Dash
This is a Halloween costume race on Pensacola Beach, and most people show up dressed for it. The course runs through the beach roads, so expect flat pavement with that open coastal feel. There is also a short kids fun run on the same morning, making it a real family outing rather than just a solo race day.
After finishing, the post-race party moves to Flounder's Chowder House, a nearby waterfront restaurant, where there is food, awards, and music. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and the crowd tends to reflect that, so do not be surprised to see superheroes and pirates in your age group.
