About the Elk River Braxton County Monster Marathon/Half Marathon/5K
The course runs along the Elk River Trail, which keeps things flat and quick underfoot. You are moving through river trail scenery the whole way, with a trailhead serving as both start and finish. Aid stations are spaced out across the longer distances, and bathrooms are available along the full marathon route.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the trailhead, the same spot where you park and start. Bathrooms are at the start and finish area. Refreshments and drinks are waiting at the finish line when you come through.
