About the Eckert's Belleville Farm Donut Dash 5k

The course starts and finishes at an orchard farm on the edge of Belleville, taking runners out onto a county bike trail before looping back through some open grass. The surface switches between paved path and cross-country-style terrain, so expect a little unevenness along the way. There is a donut waiting at the finish, which is the whole point.

Packet pickup the evening before is at the Cider House on the farm property, and race-morning pickup opens well before the start gun. If you are chasing an age group award, results go up online after the race and you collect your pin at the registration table rather than at a ceremony.

Common Questions About the Eckert's Belleville Farm Donut Dash 5k

Will I finish last at the Eckert's Belleville Farm Donut Dash 5k?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 43:02, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:09:01, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Eckert's Belleville Farm Donut Dash 5k a good first 5K?

With 928 finishers there are runners at every pace, so you are never out on your own. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Eckert's Belleville Farm Donut Dash 5k?

The 5K winner ran 16:34 while the median finisher took 43:02. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
