About the East Texas CASA Superhero 5K & Fun-Run
The course runs from Triple Creek Shopping Center along Guthrie Creek, so there is water nearby for most of the route. It is a flat road race with a shorter option alongside the main distance, and costumes are a genuine part of the morning. Many runners show up in capes and masks, which gives the start line a different energy than most local races.
The race starts in a shopping center parking lot, which means parking is straightforward. Post-race activity stays close to the start, so families tend to hang around after finishing.
