About the East Berlin 5K Turkey Trot
The route runs through the streets of East Berlin, with traffic control in place along the way. It starts and finishes at the community center parking lot. The course is through town, so expect pavement, some turns, and whatever Thanksgiving morning weather brings. The race benefits a local veterans organization and also collects canned goods for a military food program.
Packet pickup happens at a separate address in town on the days leading up to the race, with race-morning pickup available at the community center as a backup, though the organizers prefer you pick up early. Parking is scattered nearby: the skate park, street spots, and a couple of adjacent lots. The apartment complex next door is off limits.
