About the DYCW 8th Annual 5K Walk for Diabetes 2026
The route runs through Tribble Mill Park, a wooded park setting that keeps things shaded and pleasant underfoot. The course is a walk-oriented route, though runners show up too. Health screenings and educational resources are set up at the event, so there is more going on than just the walk itself. The foundation behind it is local, and the cause is specific to the surrounding community.
Packet pickup and the start area are both at the park. Post-race, or really throughout the morning, there are health screening stations and informational booths on site, which makes the gathering feel more like a community health fair wrapped around a walk than a stripped-down race-day setup.
