About the DWS Great Pumpkin 5K

The course runs through a neighborhood, starting and finishing at an elementary school. The terrain is flat throughout, so the effort is pretty even from start to finish. The run benefits the school's parent-teacher organization, which gives the morning a local, block-party kind of grounding. Strollers are welcome; rollerblades, bikes, scooters, and dogs are not.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local brewery in Marshfield, with race-morning pickup available as well. Parking is on the school's blacktop and behind the building, so getting in and out is straightforward.
