About the Dusk to Dawn Relay + Ultra 2026
The course is a flat loop on the Bonneville Salt Flats, run entirely at night from sunset to sunrise. You are out on the open salt under the stars, running as many loops as you can before first light. Solo runners go it alone; relay teams divide the work however they see fit, making their own decisions about order, pacing, and rest.
The overnight hours have more going on than just running. A local astronomy club sets up to walk people through the night sky, and there is a scavenger hunt running through the event. A pancake breakfast for charity wraps things up at dawn. The atmosphere is open to supporters as well, not just runners.
