About the Durango Turkey Trot
The course rolls out from a college campus, loops through a residential neighborhood, dips past a reservoir, and swings behind a golf course before returning to campus for a finish near the clocktower. There are a couple of real climbs along the way, enough to make the legs work without being relentless. The surroundings shift between campus, neighborhood streets, and open views.
Packet pickup is on race morning at the Student Union, so you can arrive, get your bib, and be ready without much fuss. After the race, an amphitheater right by the finish line hosts an awards ceremony, a gobble contest, and a prize drawing.

The Durango Turkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2017. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
