About the Dunedin Veterans Day 5K 10K and Kids HONOR Dash
The course runs on the Pinellas Trail, a paved path heading north from the Hale Center and back. The 10K uses a couple of loops of the same route. Along the way, you pass the local VFW and American Legion posts, and veterans sometimes cheer from outside. Runners are encouraged to share the name of someone they are honoring, which gives the morning a genuine sense of occasion.
Both the Hale Center and the Dunedin Library have free parking nearby. Registrants receive a bib number and arrival instructions by email the afternoon before race day. The kids' dash goes off first, on the same paved trail, with parents welcome to run alongside.
