About the 2026 Duck NC Turkey Trot 5K
The course starts near a shopping village in downtown Duck, heads toward the Atlantic, then swings back toward the sound before picking up the main road north. There is a real hill to climb in the Schooner Ridge neighborhood, and the route loops through the subdivision streets before returning south to finish close to where it began.
Packet pickup is the evening before at a local brewing spot. After the race, the party moves to Tree House Cafe and Coffee in Scarborough Faire Shopping Village, where there are hot drinks and post-race food. The race is not chip timed, and a clock at the finish line shows the running time.
