About the 8th Annual Dreidel Dash 5k & Kids Races
The course winds through neighborhood streets near Temple Beth Elohim, with a few gentle hills along the way. Turns are marked by guides and signs, and there are water stops on the route. A Chanukah costume contest runs alongside the race, with awards for solo and group costumes at the post-race ceremony.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the temple, with race-morning pickup opening well before the start. Parking is on the surrounding neighborhood side streets, and the organizers ask runners to arrive via a main road rather than Walnut Street. There is food and activities after the race, and complimentary on-site babysitting during the run is available with advance registration.
